This is such a dissapointment. The same configuration did worked without problems for about 3 months. Also installed driver and client update. Once the freeze has happened I get the same hardware conflict error message on boot up. The freeze only ever happens if the wireless network card is turned on.

Also helps demounting the intergrated wireless card, wait a second and mount it again. I found out that I could remove the wireless adapter and reboot, no problems. I have updated the Atheros driver and client utility This was after I wiped the hard drive and reinstalled the “factory fresh” disk image the athegos time this problem appeared. When I am using the computer connected to the LAN via network cable, while radio signals are disabled, the problem does not occurs anymore.
I use the Atheros Client Utility version 3.
If you make installation on your own ar5040g is possible that some problems occur. And if not, can you check you ar I had the same troubles more than once with my AS You can check device manager and check if there is some hardware conflict.

Since a few weeks I encounter from time to time system crash, the computer hangs: Flaming or offending other users. I have a satellite P30 with the same problem. I suspect it may be a driver issue, and the correct driver doesn’t install with XP Pro. Does anyone who has Windows XP Home installed have this same problem?

Numerous calls to support only resulted in ” you’ll have to send it to the depot for repair”, untill I finally got to level 3 support.
